چکیده
Growth and reproduction in marine fish populations can be strongly influenced by local habitat quality nutritional resources. Habitat degradation alter prey composition availability, and, consequently, trophic position dietary niche breadth of fish. In the present study, we compared length-frequency distributions, growth, stomach contents, isotopic values (δ 13 C δ 15 N) blue cod Parapercis colias subpopulations from biogenic reef habitats that were more shellfish dredges fine sediment New Zealand. Blue inhabiting degraded regions significantly smaller relied on different items than habitats. Results indicated areas occupying those relatively undisturbed reefs. Isotope mixing models demonstrated one predominantly suspended particulate organic matter, while other primarily macroalgae as their matter source. Dietary overlap was likely higher for habitats, with potential consequences growth reproduction. reefs showed a high degree individual specialisation. The study differences length distribution, ecology among coincided degradation. Ecosystem-based management solutions help regenerate high-quality reducing fisheries mortality within these critical

Risk determinants of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises (SMEs) - an exploratory study in New Zealand
The smooth running of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises (SMEs) presents a significant challenge irrespective of the technological and human resources they may have at their disposal. SMEs continuously encounter daily internal and external undesirable events and unwanted setbacks to their operations that detract from their business performance. These are referred to as ‘disturbanc...
متن کاملFruit features in relation to the ecology and distribution of Acaena (Rosaceae) species in New Zealand
Fruit features of 17 Acaena species in New Zealand were investigated to determine the relations between reproductive allocation patterns, mode of dispersal and species ecology. Three basic morphological types, corresponding to major sections within the genus, are represented: spineless fruits (Sect. Pteracaena one species), spined fruits lacking barbs (Sect. Microphyllae 6 species), and spined ...
متن کاملEgg distribution, bottom topography and small-scale cod population structure in a coastal marine system
Coastal marine species with pelagic egg and larval stages, such as the Atlantic cod Gadus morhua, can be structured into genetically distinct local populations on a surprisingly small geographic scale considering their dispersal potential. Mechanisms responsible for such small-scale genetic structure may involve homing of adults to their natal spawning grounds, but also local retention of pelag...
